- Learning Activity β words added, practice history, self-rating scores, and pronunciation recordings you explicitly upload.
- Usage & Device Data β log files, IP address, browser type, and coarse location (city-level) automatically sent by your device.
- Payment Data β processed securely by Stripe; we never store card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Data
- Provide and personalise language-learning features.
- Generate vocabulary statistics and AI feedback.
- Maintain security, debug, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Send service-related notifications (no promotional spam).
3. Legal Bases
Where the EU / UK GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Contract β to deliver the service you request.
- Legitimate Interest β to improve and secure the service.
- Consent β for optional features such as pronunciation uploads.
4. Cookies & Analytics
We use first-party cookies for session management only. Aggregate usage analytics are collected with privacy-friendly Plausible Analytics; no cross-site tracking, cookies, or personal identifiers are stored.
5. Data Retention
- Learning logs: stored until you delete your account or after 3 years of inactivity.
- Audio uploads: automatically purged after 30 days.
- Server logs: rotated every 90 days.
6. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, e-mail support@polyagent.com.
7. Childrenβs Privacy (COPPA)
This service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us for deletion.
8. California Notice (CCPA)
California residents may request a copy of, or deletion of, their personal information as described above. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.
9. Changes to This Policy
Material changes will be announced in-app and by e-mail at least 7 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
